WE’LL FIGHT FOR YOU!

Unfortunately, doing the right thing does not guarantee that you will not have to defend yourself. Very often, your innocence will not be presumed. The current social climate is challenging for first responders. Politicians and bureaucrats often make knee-jerk decisions to take disciplinary action. You deserve excellent representation. As former police officers turned attorneys, we understand the physical and legal dangers you face. That’s why our experience is unrivaled.

OUR TEAM

MICHAEL J. COCHRAN / ATTORNEY

I have extensive experience in the criminal justice system. I am a former detective and prosecutor. This experience is invaluable to your defense. I am a former New Orleans Police Officer and Detective with over ten years of experience. During my tenure, I worked in various investigative units, including; narcotics, vice, and homicide. While assigned to homicide, I was the lead investigator on 20 murders and have played an integral role in numerous other homicide and death investigations. I served as a felony prosecutor with the 22nd JDC District Attorney’s Office (St. Tammany and Washington Parish). This period of service provided me with valuable courtroom experience in which I tried many cases. While being a prosecutor, I learned how the prosecution seeks to obtain guilty verdicts. This experience will help me identify the flaws in your case and establish the best defense. My professional experiences have given me extra insight that many other lawyers do not possess, nor can be learned without prior law enforcement investigative experience. This insight will allow me to examine your case not only as a defense attorney but through the mindset and the lens of an investigator and prosecutor. This will enable me to identify where the investigation against you is lacking. I am a Marine and Iraq War veteran. I served in Iraq during the invasion in 2003. As an M.P. (Military Police), my unit performed route reconnaissance and convoy security. The U.S. Marine Corps has taught me perseverance and commitment. I will apply these values to your case.
